About Texans vs. Taxes
Texans vs. Taxes is a non-profit initiative founded to provide essential education and information to property owners across the state. Our core mission is to empower every Texas property owner to successfully protest their property taxes, providing immediate financial relief and driving long-term legislative change.
We believe that the property tax system is an unsustainable burden that affects all Texans, regardless of political affiliation. Through free educational seminars, online resources, and community organizing, we equip citizens with the knowledge and confidence to navigate the protest process and advocate for a fairer system.

With over 40 years of experience, Michael Berlanga is a highly passionate expert in real estate and tax matters, dedicated to empowering property owners across Texas. Originally from San Antonio, Michael's primary passion is finding solutions for complex real estate and tax issues. He actively represents clients before the IRS and county appraisal districts and is a certified property tax arbitrator.
As the founder of the non-profit True Tax Center and President of the Christian Chamber of San Antonio, his work is rooted in a faith-based perspective that transcends religious or political affiliations, because the property tax burden affects all Texans.
